Photo-to-Chart Services

Here at Golden Light Designs, our designer uses top-quality image enhancing software to bring the best out of your photos. We then convert these photos using our very own top of the line software to a chart. But the process doesn’t end there. Our designer meticulously corrects the computer-generated pattern using hand-picked colors to create a masterpiece. Our designer spends hours on color correction alone. Every photo undergoes this very process and that is why we guarantee that you will enjoy stitching the chart. The amount of effort that goes into each photo is incomparable. Yet we give this service at a very reasonable cost.

We do the patterns to your exact specifications. We can remove the background, change the background color, remove unwanted defects or items, brighten fading pictures, convert colored pictures to black and white or sepia tone, and even combine several pictures into one pattern.

We accept all kinds of pictures, from pets to sceneries to weddings. Photos can be in color, black and white, or in sepia tone. We also accept paintings, sketches, and drawings (must be scanned or have a photo of it be taken). We can also accept pictures you find in the internet. We can work on practically any format of picture. However, a lot of these images are copyrighted and the owners of these pictures might not allow the use of these pictures that’s why it’s better to have a written permission from the copyright owner. You can contact the site owner to know if the picture can be used for our charting services. All pictures we receive from our customers are assumed to be theirs or that they have a written permission to use the photos. Consequently, we cannot accept any responsibility for any infringement of this copyright. If you are uncertain, contact the source of your photo, they may be able to tell you who the owner of the copyright is and whether you can use the picture. We can not accept any picture which apparently violates this copyright.

How to Order

Send an e-mail to goldenlightdesigns@yahoo.com with the subject of "Photo-to-Chart" and give us all the necessary information such as the count size preferred and the size of the outcome. We will do our best to make it just the way you want it.

Scan and send us the photo via e-mail as an attachment. You can also upload the photo to the internet and just send us the link of the photo. As of now, we cannot yet accept photos in print (we will have this service available in the future).

Once the photo is received, the painstaking process of enhancing, converting and correcting the pattern including any special instructions you included. If the photo requires major changes and/or enhancements, we will send you a copy of the photo so that you can preview it before we start the charting process. Any additional charges aside from the basic charge of $5 (US dollars)

Charting the design may take 1 to 3 weeks depending upon the complexity of the pattern. Once finished we will send you a photo of how the final outcome will look like. If you like what you see, you can now make your payment.

Our rates vary depending upon the complexity of the pattern with the basic rate of $5 (US dollars) for the simplest pattern. Photos with special instructions may have additional fees aside from the basic charge but you will be notified of this with the confirmation e-mail for the photos.

Once payment is received, we will send you a copy of the patterns in PDF format within 24 hours of receipt of payment. For orders with a printed copy, your order will be processed and shipped via the Philippine Postal Corporation within 24 hours of receipt of payment.

We will keep a copy of your pattern for a year. After that, we will remove your pattern from our database. Your pattern will be solely your property and we will not, under any circumstance, sell or give away your pattern.

A kit of the pattern can be bought for a minimum of $20 (US Dollars) plus any additional charges. Our kits are only available in 14 ct. Aida fabric.

For shipping and handling costs, we charge our clients only what the shipping company does. Our clients pay for applicable sales taxes if any.

*Squares can be calculated by multiplying the stitch count of the chart.

Free Photo-to-Chart Service

To avail of this, simply copy and paste the following code into your myspace or friendster account's profile. Then e-mail me at goldenlightdesigns@yahoo.com with the URL or the Address of your Page with your photo attached in the e-mail. All Photos would be charted to fit to an 8" x 10" size. All pages without the following code would not be entertained.
